About Us

Kimberley Nurseries is located in Slapton surrounded by the beautiful Devon countryside and coastline. The nursery has been in operation since the 1930s.

Marcus and Holly took over the nursery in 2023. Originally based in Surrey, Holly ran a retail plant nursery, Grow Smiles, growing over 80% of the plants and providing design consultancy. Marcus has decades of landscaping expertise, enabling garden designers to transform their visions into reality. With this background they are able to provide that extra support when it comes to plant sales, plans and designs.

Together they are absolutely passionate about gardens, plants and the environment. In their first six months at Kimberley they switched to growing in peat free compost recyclable pots and plant labels. All plants are grown from British seeds and plugs and without the use of chemicals. In 2024 they have launched a range of British wildflower plants.

They are supported by Matt and Rob at the nursery and their ever helpful dog, Floyd.
